while the instructions for this seem totally simple
It's not that easy....
After I figured out how to pair it (I guess i did figure it out...because it is no where written how to actually do it), I modified openauto_system.ini as suggested, rebooted, but nothing happens.
so, what did i do?!
First i had to leave open auto, to get into rapberryOs.
There I used the bluetooth device manager to pair with the odb2 adapter (see attachments).
I modified the openauto_system.ini:
Then i chossed reboot, and expected open auto pro to connect to the odb adapter automatically... but nothing happens regarding this.
What am i missing here?
Quote:1. Pair your ELM327 adapter with Raspberry PI (ignore any warnings about lack of usable services)
2. Figure out Bluetooth address of your adapter (for sure it will be visible during pairing procedure, e.g. 00:00:00:11:11:11)
3. In /home/pi/.openauto/config/openauto_system.ini file adjust below parameters to
3.1. ObdDeviceType=2
3.2. ObdAdapterRfCommAddress=00:00:00:11:11:11
4. Restart your Raspberry PI
