I have OpenAuto is running RPi 3 Model B, with a Waveshare display powered via USB and a Carlinkit adapter.
When I try to connect a USB microphone adapter, the Pi begins to show some USB output power issues, where the screen will flash (turning off and on) and the Carlinkit will turn off and on.
It seems like the combination of the display and adapter via USB is reaching to power output available on the Pi 3B.
Is there a recommended 3.5mm microphone adapter or connection to use with OpenAuto?
Is the RPi 4 capable of outputting more power via USB? Would an upgraded Pi resolve my issues?
Is this an issue you guys may of run into?
Here is a link to the adapter I am currently using, which was recommended for use with RPis.
I'd like to find a 3.5mm TS Microphone adapter which draws the least amount of power. Any input is appreciated.
